Santa Barbara Mission Style Home by Peter Novak

This home in Santa Barbara is quite beautiful. The builder, Peter Novak, is an exceptional craftsman, builder, and designer all rolled into one. He teamed up with our salesman, Leonard Andrews, to create this beauty. There are not too many more detail-minded people in the industry than these two men, and every inch, reveal, etc. is considered when they get together to design a kitchen. But, as you see, the results are stunning.

Beech cabinets, Hickory (modified) finish, mix of Shaker and Mission doors, frameless construction.

Overview of the kitchen.

I love the veggie sink in the island. The table height seating at the island i really useful and very contemporary. Having a single height island, in this kitchen, creates a nice open space. The appliances are well dispersed, but not shirked in this kitchen.

Simply stunning view of the hills above Santa Barbara.

Some of the appliances, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezeer, are concealed by panels.

The glass shelves and the Mission door side panels on the island and the pantry are typical Novakian details. Well planned and elegant. The 3 1/4" straight crown moulding gives the cabinets a properly dressed top shelf without too much "gingerbread" spoiling the simple Mission look.
